Dong Seng Chinese Food Take Out in Embrun

Great food it was so yummy. Not over priced and great friendly service.

Ordered dong seng tonight and was very disappointed.My fried rice was very burnt and also had chicken spine bone and cartilage in it. They use to be very good, But their food has gone down hill.

Good food, however they’ve messed up our order twice by missing an item. They always try to make it better thought.

Excellent Food

Ordered here for the first and last time tonight. Ordered food, when we arrived there was no one working at the counter, not a staff member in sight. After 20 minutes I called the restaurant and told them they had a bunch of people waiting to be served. He said he was busy and we'd have to wait. Then a lady came through the front door and went behind the counter and started serving the people waiting. When it was my turn, she handed me a bag of food that had been sitting on the counter the whole time I was waiting and when I paid she asked for a tip! The food was just as bad as the service, most of it was so salty that you couldn't taste anything else. The rice was undercooked and the chicken balls were drowning in sweet and sour sauce. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Very good food, I like their egg rolls a lot. Their wonton soup is some of the best I've ever had. The service is good and the food comes fast.

Chinese food with an attitude. I'm not talking about the food here but the person serving me. Arrived at lunch, 12h30 to be exact and the place was empty. My thought was to turn around and I should've. The man was so rude taking my order, I almost cancelled it. I showered him with please and thanks when he came back, didn't change a thing. The food was okay, not a place I would drive 30 minutes to go to but the way I was served, a definite 2 stars. I work with public also, we all have bad days but when you do, keep the conversation to a minimum and smile.

Awesome rice and chicken balls

16$ for a small chicken fried rice and 6 egg rolls that were terrible. .rice was OK but egg rolls yuk and ....it used to be good but lately no good Dong !!!

It's convenient and the service is quick. The prices are good as well. The egg rolls are good, rice is ok, the chicken almond guy ding was missing almonds.... And the Chicken balls are ok but where the rating drops is the amount of msg. There is far too much of it, otherwise I a 4 star.

Best chinese food around! And for under $10 you get different combination plates that includes 3 tastfull food ei: chicken fried rice, almond guyding with lots of chicken and almonds in it + choices of spareribs or chicken balls or whatever you prefer at no xtra charge! Oh and I almost forgot...comes with an eggroll which are really fresh and yummy to eat. So far I have no negative comments! The food has always been very fresh, fast service and the food is hot when your plate arrives....SOooo DELICIOUS, you won't be disappointed!! Enjoy ;)

Egg Rolls are very good. Meals are served quickly and takeout is usually 10 min.

We moved out of the area and I really do miss their Gen Tao chicken. Probably the best tasting I have ever had! I didn't give a 5 star because I have eaten at Chinese restaurants in Vancouver where I did give a 5.

Forgetful and expensive for what it is. Used to be better before new management took over.

Best Eggrolls Ever. I love this place.

Food is very good. Prices are the best. Orders are usually prepared quickly, but beware on Friday evenings (busy time). It can take much longer. Decor inside the restaurant is 70s vintage. I recommend this place, it's all about the food.

the best wonton soup's we've ever tasted. Egg rolls were stuff to the Max and delicious. Service was prompt and courteous. Food was very good and hot. We will be back. Highly recommended.

We are in the restaurant with a group and it was clear they are not able to manage or handle groups in this location. No heat in the section they had us sit in and very disorganized. People after for very simple drinks and they had to pull out a manual to figure out how to make them. Much better I assume as take out only. The food was decent.

Long wait to get food I ordered. No one at the counter. Rude on the phone when ordered. The food however was good considering it’s the better place in Embrun to order.In person he was much nicer.

The chicken fried rice was burnt (2 orders) and the chicken balls and chicken soo guy were hard.Ribs and egg rolls were good.Usually good but not this time.

Very unorganized. Service is very poor. Food is mediocre. Have tried twice with the new owners and both experiences have been terrible.

Fair prices and food was good. Called for take out and it was ready as we walked in. Egg rolls are delicious and home made.

Always feel welcomed when you go in. They know your name and what you usually order. Food is always good and resonably priced.

I used to eat here everytime I wanted Chinese food but lately the service sucks!I called wanting to order for 8 people which would have been great business for them.I asked if they delivered (it would have been fine either way) he says "no delivery" before I got the chance to say its fine I will pick it up, he hung up on me!!!I called back and there was no answer!!!I couldn't believe the service....so I called my second home and purchased an order over $300.000 their lost.

MEIN IS NOODLES , we were disappointed to find no noodles and only bean sprouts. Make sure you know what you're paying for because clearly the names don't line up.

I tried this place for the first time. I went in and placed my order for some reason he was very rude, but I blew it off. When my order was ready I paid and ask for soy sauce. He say there was one inside, I asked for 3 more he said “what you need so many for” ( very rude) I said it was for the steamed rice. He ignored me and continued going to the back. I asked again and he huffed and handed me 2 more. Seriously I just paid over $14 and you can’t give me 3 packets of soy sauce. Just to top it of I arrived and opened my meal, yup no fork or napkin...thanks! Food was mediocre. I prefer crispy general tao’s this was soggy, dark meat and fatty chucks mixed in. IMPO save your money don’t go here!
